Gene Edward Veith, author of Postmodern Times: A Christian Guide to Contemporary Thought and Culture, is a professor of English and the director of the Cranach Institute at Concordia University-Wisconsin, which is devoted to the study of Christianity and culture. He earned his doctorate from the University of Kansas, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. He has served on the faculties of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Wheaton College, and as culture editor for World magazine.
