| Paul Woodruff is the Mary Helen Thompson Centennial Professor in the Humanities at the University of Texas, where he has taught since 1973. He is a member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers at the University and specializes in ancient Greek philosophy. His published works include plays, opera libretti, poetry, and several translations.
