Portrait painter Catherine Prescott taught at Messiah College for 20 years and in other university programs and institutes. Her work has won awards in national and state shows since 1979, and she received an Individual Artists Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in 2008. She has been featured among other finalists in the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian, Washington, D. C., at the Phillips Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, at the Brauer Museum of Art in Valparaiso, Indiana, and at the Seraphin Gallery in Philadelphia, among other venues. Prescott is affiliated with the Andreeva Portrait Gallery and Academy in Santa Fe and her work has been published in Image: A Journal of the Arts and Religion, and American Arts Quarterly. Catherine Prescott is from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
